These terms describe how services are provided at Thamel Clinic: what we commit to (confidentiality, honest information, validated testing, transparent pricing, linked care) and what we ask of patients (accurate information, informed consent, follow-through on treatment and partner care where indicated).
They are deliberately plain-language — point is that patients understand relationship they are entering, not to obscure it. The essential commitments: your visits and results are confidential; testing and treatment happen only with your informed consent; costs are confirmed before anything is done; and results come with interpretation and a next step, not just a number.
These terms supplement — never replace — clinical relationship: specific clinical decisions are made between you and clinician, not governed by this page.
Confidentiality
Your visits, consultations, test results and records are confidential. We do not disclose your attendance, your results, or your clinical information to anyone without your consent, within limits of applicable law (for example, where disclosure is legally required for certain public health reporting).
You choose how results reach you — delivery channel is agreed at consultation. What is discussed in consultation stays in consultation; partner notification, where relevant, is handled in a way that protects your identity where that is possible.

Informed Consent

Consent is specific, not blanket: agreeing to a blood test is not consent for an examination, and each step is agreed separately. Minors are handled according to applicable consent rules; capacity and voluntariness are respected throughout.

Pricing is transparent: consultation is Rs. 450; tests, treatments, vaccinations and procedures are priced before they are done. Packages are described with what they include; price you are quoted is price you pay.
Payment is expected at time of service unless otherwise arranged. Prices may change over time — current price is confirmed at booking and again before proceeding, so there are no surprise charges.

What We Ask of Patients
Accurate information: clinical value of service depends on honest history — exposure timing, sites involved, symptoms, prior treatment. What you tell us stays confidential; telling us less than truth produces worse care.
Follow-through: completing prescribed courses, attending follow-up where indicated, arranging partner testing/treatment where relevant, and using results as guidance rather than as a certificate. And honest questions — there are no embarrassing questions in a sexual health consultation.
